Ardnamurchan and the Isle of Mull - Scotland - Clive Coombes

"On a recent trip to the West Coast of Scotland, I was fascinated to visit the Ardnamurchan Peninsula close to the tiny settlements of Lochaline and Drimnin" says Clive in introducing this portfolio. "In this area lie some of the last vestiges of Scotland's Temperate Rain Forest. As such, green is the colour; the mosses, the lichen and the overall plant life are quite remarkable. Despite lacking botanical photography experience, I've done my best to highlight some of the sights of this ancient forest."

"On the same trip, I also visited the Isle of Mull and include a few photos from there - not least the Salen Wrecks, right on the coast between Fishnish and Tobermory. It was pouring with rain when I stopped, but this created an atmosphere which added further mystery to these long-abandoned ships".
